Please get in touch with them to volunteer to help make this day a big success for Patchogue Ed and Pat Martell have volunteered to take the time to research the wording and writing of a law that will help all communities throughout the State so that a property owner such as the Plaza cannot create a situation as he has these past 20 plus years. We all invision a law that will prevent a business property owner from the deliberate neglect of their existing building, demand responsibility for its vacant appearance and require the posting of signs stating the owner's intentions, for sale or lease. This law should help all NY State communities from experiencing a Plaza nightmare in their future The above list is not complete. There are other properties and Issues that we should discuss and address. For example: What will we do with the vacant land after the Plaza is taken down? Can we incorporate the vacant Health Center, and the adjoining properties into one large project? What about the TruValue property? What if that building were taken down and a smaller area higher story building were built? What face do we want for Patchogue's future? These future projects challenge our imagination, determination and creativity for our area. Who would invest millions of dollars into the Patchogue area and to do what? Do you have ideas or suggestions? This is what we need to openly discuss and to which a plan can and will be developed that we can all be happy about.
